First time we tried the thin crust and pleasantly impressed with the ingredients (especially the FENNEL sausage) I am a Chicagoan and I tend to become a pizza snob when attempting to try pizza elsewhere lol…. We saw that they offered Chicago style on sundays… hmmm something that’s so very special, and hard to find in VA. We came back and ordered the CORN MEAL CRUST with sausage and green pepper and omgggg it was like I was sitting with my mom eating pizza back at home. So damn good! Truly so good my bf and I had to order one to go (we live in DC) Can’t wait to come visit my friends again on a Sunday and eat that damn good deep dish at this silly Van Halen place hehehe

Went late, around 1030-1130pm. Nice neighborhood vibe...friendly regulars and a good bartender. Not a college bar at night, thank god and the music was good. Anime on when I arrived, which contributed to the unique vibe. Tried the wings--finally, a hair of heat in RIC-- and the little pan pizza w pepporoni. Good stuff. I dunno what this place is during the day...maybe touristy due to the descrip, but at night it's a normal neighborly place w the better twist of better music and a more viceral scene than old folks. 5 star dive bar, but w good food. Appreciated the welcome to a 50s sound guy from Austin.

Walking in, there is plenty of seating in the small venue and the music is just the right volume for listening and still having conversations. There are TVs on a variety of channels which is awesome because I don't have to watch just sports. The servers and bartenders are really nice and don't mind answering questions about the menu. I ordered the Black cherry bourbon limeade, and it was delicious! For dinner, I ordered a medium pizza with a pesto base that was perfectly cooked. The flavor combos were amazing! I will definitely be going back because the vibe was great and the food was even better. Great spot for a low key date night or for hanging after work.

I truly love Hot for Pizza and I’m not writing this as a negative review, but more as honest feedback. I order from here often and always ask for extra sauce and unfortunately I never seem to get it. Tonight, I even came in early before my pizza went into the oven and asked again for extra sauce. The bartender was kind enough to go back and confirm it, but my pizza still came out very dry

Bartender was so mellow. Very laid back atmosphere, everyone seems to know each other. The food is AMAZING. Fried tofu, spicy garlic is so insanely good. Cheese curds are the BEST I have ever had. Stromboli and pizza were also pretty awesome, and the stromboli is massive.
